Features, GEO workflow & Website Context MCP

Understand the GEO audit, turn findings into better content, and make a website's public context available to connected AI tools.

1. GEO audit

What snaff checks

Enter a public URL to receive a weighted GEO score, actionable findings, and expandable details for every checked signal. The score is a prioritization aid, not a guarantee of AI mentions or rankings.

Three focus areas

settings_ethernet

Technical access

AI bot access, robots.txt, structured data, JSON-LD, and technical signals.

format_quote

Content clarity

Meta information, readability, citability, llms.txt, and ai.txt.

verified_user

Trust & authority

E-E-A-T signals, authorship, freshness, and brand authority.

Two ways to act after an audit

1. Improve your website

Use the expandable findings and recommendations to improve content, structured data, accessibility, and trust signals.

2. Connect Website Context MCP

Make normalized public website context available to an MCP client with a read-only tool.

Website Context MCP

Give connected AI tools reliable website context

After an audit, snaff creates an MCP endpoint for that public website. It exposes the read-only tool get_website_context, returning the public title, description, headings, readable page text, and source URL. It never exposes raw HTML, cookies, login-protected pages, or private data.

What MCP does — and does not do

MCP gives a connected AI application a direct, structured way to request website context. It does not make ordinary search crawlers automatically call a server when they visit a website. For broad discoverability, continue to use accessible pages, structured data, robots.txt, llms.txt, and the GEO improvements identified in the audit.

Publish and connect your MCP context

snaff provides three ready-to-use assets after an audit. They make the integration visible for AI agents designed to look for MCP context and connect the same context to an MCP client.

1. Add the meta tag

Copy the generated mcp-server meta tag into the customer website’s <head>.

2. Upload mcp.json

Download the manifest and upload it to /.well-known/mcp.json on the customer domain.

3. Connect your AI client

Use the readable MCP URL in a remote MCP client and call get_website_context.

Example endpoint: https://your-snaff-domain/app/mcp/example.com. The endpoint uses Streamable HTTP JSON-RPC and is read-only.

Protected websites

Blocked by Cloudflare? That is a finding, not a dead end.

Many sites hide behind bot protection that only lets real browsers in – and quietly shut out ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity at the same time. snaff makes that visible and shows how to fix it.

block

Blocking becomes a GEO result

Instead of “can’t be analyzed” you see which bot protection answered and what that means for your visibility in AI answers.

After the audit

One audit. Two ways forward.

Fix the signals on your website, or publish a structured context layer for MCP-enabled AI experiences. Most teams will benefit from both.

01

Improve the website

Open each finding to see what was checked, what was found and what to improve. Use the score as a practical order of work across technical access, content and trust.

02

Publish Website Context MCP

Embed one snaff-hosted URL. snaff packages the public page title, description, headings and readable content for an AI client that connects through MCP.

Monitoring & AI visibility

Turn one audit into an ongoing GEO program

A single score is a snapshot. The snaff Monitor keeps watch over time: it re-checks the domains that matter, tests whether AI engines actually cite you, benchmarks you against rivals, and audits whole lists of domains in bulk.

Monitorboard

Your command center: portfolio averages across all monitored domains (GEO score, AI visibility, brand accuracy), a prioritized “needs attention” list, and scheduled re-checks that email you the moment something drifts out of AI search.

  • Portfolio status: averages + which domains need attention
  • Click any domain to expand full details inline
  • Automatic re-checks (hourly–monthly) with email alerts

AI Citation Test

Stop guessing whether AI mentions you. snaff asks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Gemini real questions and checks if your domain shows up as a cited source.

  • Real prompts across the leading AI answer engines
  • A visibility score with a per-engine breakdown
  • Bring your own model keys (OpenRouter, NVIDIA and more)
  • Brand accuracy: flags when AI states wrong facts about you

Competitor Benchmark

See exactly where you lead or lag. Compare your GEO readiness against competitors side by side, category by category, and turn the gaps into a to-do list.

  • Your domain vs. competitors, scored side by side
  • Ranked, category-level strengths and gaps
  • Scheduled benchmark monitors with email updates

Batch jobs

GEO at scale. Audit hundreds — or millions — of domains from a CSV, URL, API or database source. Ideal for portfolios, agencies and top-lists like Tranco.

  • Sources: CSV upload, remote CSV/ZIP, API or database
  • Works through large lists automatically on a schedule
  • Every result collected in one dashboard

Duplicate Content Finder

Crawl your site, strip boilerplate, and cluster exact + near-duplicate pages — a clean, de-duplicated basis for AI vectorization (RAG). All similarity analysis runs locally in your browser.

  • Server-side boilerplate removal + SHA-256 exact dedup
  • Local near-duplicate detection — no model, no API cost
  • Interactive cluster map + JSON/CSV export

Brand accuracy & anti-hallucination

Beyond “am I cited?” – does AI tell the truth about you? Keep a short brand fact sheet and snaff grades every AI answer against it, flagging false or unsupported claims. A structural check also finds why hallucinations happen (missing schema, no clear definition, conflicting facts across pages).

  • Brand fact sheet per domain (with bulk add)
  • Accuracy score + flagged false claims per engine

Website Context MCP

Make public website context available in a structured format.

After an audit, snaff creates a readable endpoint for the domain. It is a focused, read-only context service — designed to return the information an AI application needs without exposing private website data.

What the endpoint returns

Context, not a copy of your website.

The MCP tool get_website_context returns the source URL, title, description, headings and cleaned readable text from a public page.

  • No raw HTML or cookies
  • No login-protected pages
  • Read-only public website context
<meta name="mcp-server"
  content="https://www.snaff.ai/app/mcp/example.com/manifest.json">

{
  "version": "1.0",
  "mcp_url": "https://www.snaff.ai/app/mcp/example.com",
  "transport": "http-post"
}
Implementation

Connect it in three straightforward steps.

Each audited website gets a hosted MCP manifest directly in its result page. No file upload or manual endpoint construction is required.

01Run the audit

Analyze the public website. snaff creates a hosted manifest URL for that domain, such as /app/mcp/example.com/manifest.json.

02Publish discovery details

Copy the generated mcp-server meta tag into the site’s <head>. It points to the manifest hosted and maintained by snaff.

03Connect an MCP client

Add the same endpoint to an MCP-enabled AI client and call get_website_context when website context is needed.

The dashboard supplies a copy-ready meta tag for every completed audit. The manifest and MCP endpoint stay hosted on snaff, while your website only embeds the hosted URL. Keep your core website content, structured data and GEO improvements up to date — they remain the foundation of discoverability.

language

Use your own MCP domain or subdomain

Registered customers can save a domain such as mcp.example.com in the MCP section of an audit result. snaff then uses that host in the manifest URL; the manifest and endpoint still run on the snaff application.

  • Create DNS: add a CNAME (or ALIAS) for mcp.example.com that points to the hostname where your snaff app is deployed.
  • Route the host: add that custom host in your hosting panel or web-server configuration so it serves the same snaff application and HTTPS certificate.
  • Save and verify: enter the host in the signed-in MCP section, run an audit, and open the generated /mcp/…/manifest.json URL. It must return JSON before adding the meta tag to the customer website.

DNS alone is not enough: the snaff server must accept the custom hostname and provide TLS for it. No file is downloaded, uploaded, or hosted on the customer website.

More capabilities

Built to act on, not just to read

Beyond the audit, snaff gives you the tools to track progress, share results, and stay ahead of competitors.

checklist

50-point analysis

The audit now covers 50 signals across 8 categories — including image alt text, internal linking, mobile readiness, breadcrumb and speakable schema, and table-of-contents structure.

Progress tracking

Re-check a page and see exactly what changed since last time: your score movement plus which checks newly pass or fail.

schedule

Scheduled monitoring

Track domains automatically at the cadence you choose — daily, weekly, or monthly — with an email summary and a link to the full report each time.

flag

Competitor benchmark

Compare your GEO readiness against competitors side by side, and see exactly which checks they pass that you don't — your highest-priority fixes.

picture_as_pdf

PDF report export

Download any analysis as a clean, print-ready PDF — ideal for sharing with clients or your team. Agency plans add white-label branding.

translate

Four languages

The full interface and every analysis result are available in English, German, Spanish, and French — switch anytime from the header.

api

REST API

Run GEO analyses programmatically with a personal API key — integrate audits into your own tools and workflows.

dataset

Batch monitoring

Feed a list of domains from a CSV, JSON API, or database and have snaff check them automatically on a schedule — hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly.

Developer API

Automate audits with the REST API

Every account with API access gets a personal key to query GEO analyses from your own scripts, CI pipelines, or dashboards.

01Get your key

Open /app/settings and generate your personal API key. It is shown once — copy it somewhere safe.

02Authenticate

Send your key with each request in the Authorization: Bearer header (or an X-API-Key header).

03Get JSON back

The response is a clean JSON report: overall score, grade, per-category results, and the top issues to fix.

Endpoint

One call, full report

A single request to a clean URL analyzes any public page and returns the full GEO breakdown.

  • /analyze/<url> — the public URL to analyze
  • /analyze/<lang>/<url> — add a language for translated results (en, de, es, fr)
# Request
curl "https://www.snaff.ai/app/api/analyze/example.com" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer gbob_your_key_here"

# Response
{
  "ok": true,
  "url": "https://example.com/",
  "percentage": 72,
  "grade": { "label": "Good", "color": "green" },
  "categories": { ... },
  "top_issues": [ ... ]
}

Keep your key secret. If it leaks, regenerate it from the Settings page — the old key stops working immediately.
